Park Rapids Team and Partners Fry up $5,100 for Local 4-H

Fries for 4-H at the Hubbard County Fair in Park Rapids this year was one for the record books.

More than 75 volunteers from R.D. Offutt Farms, Lamb Weston-RDO Frozen and Hubbard County 4-H teamed up to donate supplies, prepare the booth and staff the fryers and serving line.

The team sold more than 2,300 pounds of French fries and raised $5,100 for local 4-H programming.

The event was a great opportunity to connect with partners, neighbors and members of the community, and team members made it a family affair, welcoming many spouses, kids and extended family to help staff the booth, too.

Fries for 4-H has been a summer staple for the Park Rapids team since 2016. Since then, the event has raised more than $18,000.
